The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) shown on the title must match the VIN on the titled asset.
For vehicles manufactured with a 17-digit VIN, the full 17-digit VIN is required.
Trailers
All trailers will be sold as described in the individual auction listing.
If you have questions regarding a trailer, please contact our office before bidding.
Classic Cars
For classic cars manufactured before the implementation of the standard 17-digit VIN system, VIN locations may vary.
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) shown on the title must match the VIN on the titled asset. The complete VIN shown on the title is required.
If you are unsure where to locate the VIN on your classic vehicle, please contact our office for assistance. You may also wish to consult a recognized classic-car club or appropriate state motor-vehicle agency for guidance.
Titles
Titles are legal documents. Do not scratch out, alter, or make erasures on your title. Any alterations may void the title and could require you to obtain and pay for a duplicate title.
If you have any questions about how to sign your title, please contact our office and speak with Carl before signing anything.
We recommend bringing titles to our office at the sale location whenever possible. We can review the title and provide guidance on how it should be completed correctly.
All owners listed on the front of the title must sign where indicated.
Each person signing the title must sign exactly as their name appears on the front of the title. For example, if the title lists the owner as Joseph C. Smith, the title must be signed as Joseph C. Smith, not Joe Smith or J.C. Smith.
If the title is held in the name of an LLC or corporation, an authorized representative of the LLC or corporation must execute the title properly. The LLC or corporation name must be signed first, followed by the authorized representative's signature and their official title.
License Plates
All license plates will be removed prior to the auction.
If you wish to retain the license plates, you are responsible for removing them yourself before the auction. County Line Auction will dispose of any license plates that are removed by our staff.

Auction Day
On auction day, once payment has been received, you will be asked to complete and sign the required Title Paperwork.
This paperwork serves as your proof of purchase and must remain with the vehicle until it has been properly titled and registered in your name.
Online Buyers
Once payment has been received, please email countylineauctionllc@outlook.com with instructions regarding how you would like your Title Paperwork completed.
The information you provide will be used to complete the buyer section of the paperwork. The completed paperwork will then be sent to you by email for your review and signature.
Titles
Titles are mailed by USPS Certified Mail approximately three (3) business days after the auction, regardless of the payment method used.
Your preferred mailing address may be different from the address appearing on the title.
Important: County Line Auction will not mail a title a second time if the title is returned to us because it was not picked up from the post office. Please make sure you are able to receive and accept the certified-mail delivery.
